Build Your Meter

Draw it. Color it. Learn it. Three crayons, one paper — your Rescue Meter, yours.

Practice your gauge.

Point to your color right now. The gauge moves.

Point to your color above. The gauge will show you where you are.

Build it. Step by step.

Draw it on paper first. Then make it physical.

Step 1

Get your crayons.

Red. Gold (or orange). Green. Three crayons. One piece of paper. Set them on the table.

Step 2

Draw the arc.

Draw a big half-circle on your paper. Like a rainbow. Or a smile. Doesn't have to be perfect.

Step 3

Color three zones.

Left = Red. Middle = Gold. Right = Green. Press hard. Make it yours.

Red left Gold middle Green right
Step 4

Add the needle.

Draw a line from the bottom center pointing up. That's your needle. Move it with your finger to your zone.

Black crayon Point it
Step 5

Point to yours.

Where is your needle right now? Point to red, gold, or green. Show the dog. Show a trusted person.

Step 6

Put it where you see it.

Fridge. Wall. Folder. Desk. Your meter should be visible before you pick up a screen.
